Overview

This Item acts as a silencer for your gun. When this is active and you shoot your weapon, the fire sound makes less sound.

Trivia

• The item is equivalent to Quake II's Silencer item.
• Although it wasn't included in any official map, it is still possible to summon the Dampener via cheat in Unreal Tournament.
• This item is only useful in multiplayer as the amount of sound made does not work for monsters. Because of this, the Dampener can only be found in certain Deathmatch maps.
• There were plans for the inclusion of a Silencer Adrenaline combo in Unreal Tournament 2004, but were nixed.
