Alexander Lehmann (also known as Lehmi) is a level designer who did contract work for Epic Games.
Bio[]
Lehmi began designing levels for Unreal Tournament, working with, among others, Team Vortex, the team behind the single-player campaign Operation Na Pali. When Unreal Tournament 2003 was released, he switched to the new editor and self-taught how to use Autodesk 3dsmax in order to create state of-the-art levels, even contributing to Team Vortex's own mod Deathball. After mastering the new workflow, he was able to participate in the development of Unreal Tournament 2004, for which he released the maps DM-1on1-Roughinery (a popular mainstay in tournaments) and DM-1on1-Squader. Later on, he made an internship at Crytek in Coburg in order to participate in the development of Crysis, Crytek's then-newest FPS franchise. Since then, he refined his craft.[1]

Map popularity[]
- Main article: Annex:Unreal Tournament 2004 Final Stats
- Until the stats for Unreal Tournament 2004 were shut down, DM-1on1-Roughinery held the distinction of being the 22nd. most played UT2004 map of all-time, with nearly 126.000 matches. A Fixed Edition crafted by Ben 'Slainchild' Edney ranked 30th, with nearly 85.000 matches.[17] The reasons for its popularity can be attributed to the high amount of tricks the level allowed, as during the early days of UT2004 both this map and Slainchild's framerate-optimized "Fixed" version were extremely popular for tournament play, appearing in the mappool for plenty of big name tournaments.
- His other map, DM-1on1-Squader, ranked 87th. of 100 maps.[17]
Accolades[]
- His map AS-Aarjskaw became a finalist in the MSUC 2004 Phase 4, while he also contributed maps to two mods which were also finalists in the contest (Deathball and Rocketeer).
- His map DM-1on1-Incuvasion was the Featured Map in NaliCity on the week of August 4, 2004.[18]
