Map description[]

It is an ancient temple with plenty of water-pooled areas and wooden bridges. It has five areas of interest: the Center, the Red tuberoom, the Blue tuberoom, the Red base, and the Blue base. Be aware, though, if you depend on in-game location names in order to navigate, you might be in for a nasty surprise (see Trivia).

The central area has two ledges at the very top for mid-area snipers, a middle level with two lateral (north and south) platforms with weapons, and the lower level, minimally filled with water, with a hidden area holding a Shield Belt. This area is connected to both tuberooms via one upper entrance and two lower entrances.

The tuberooms are large rooms that connect the central area to either base. They have only one connection to their respective bases, via their namesake T-shaped tubes. They also have several wooden passages connecting their three entrances.

Finally, the bases themselves have several levels, exploiting the verticality of the level and giving attackers several routes to escape with the flag, in lieu of the tube bottleneck. The top level holds a platform with a Sniper Rifle and a Damage Amplifier. The next level has the flag itself, a chamber, and several weapons. The next-to-last level has a Shock Rifle and some health, and the bottommost floor is covered in water and contains a Ripper, a Flak Cannon, and a Big Keg O' Health.

Tips and tricks[]

  • The main issue you'll encounter on this map while playing on offense is passing through the tubes that connect the tuberooms with their respective bases. As such, you might need a charged Rocket Launcher in order to take care of most of your opposition before reaching your base.
  • Once you have passed the bottleneck and reached the enemy's base, you have two basic options for attacking: the shorter one, which involves translocating to the chamber, and the longer one, which involves going across the wood walkways and the walled passage. In any case, you might want to have a teammate cleaning up the tube before escaping with the flag.

Location bugs[]

  • The map has misnamed areas: the Blue tuberoom is named "Red tuberoom" and Blue base is named "Red base". This was fixed in OldUnreal's v469 patch; however, for previous versions, fixing this is simple: create a file named "CTF-Beatitude.int" in the System folder of the game and add the following text:
