DM-Crane is a Deathmatch map from Unreal Tournament. It comes with the Inoxx Bonus Pack and the Game of the Year edition of the game in PC.

Map description[]

One of the largest, if not, the largest Deathmatch map in the game, the action takes place at an unfinished building. The outside features five floors: four in the lower levels, and the rooftop of the central building which, as expected, acts as a spot for snipers. There is also a pair of cranes, one at the west end of the map and another behind the building on the north end. The building itself features passages between both halves, and several elevators from the lower levels to the upper levels, including a pair that goes from the upper level to the lower level.

In the outdoor areas, not only does falling off the building result in death, but falling to the courtyard below the ledges at the southeast area also results in death.

Tips and tricks[]

  • This level has plenty of ammunition and health, and almost every starting point has a weapon close to it, so there is no reason to stay unarmed for long.
  • Use the Shock Rifle to push people going for the Shield Belt or the Redeemer.

"After finishing my work on UT I realized most of the maps would be good for 10 players max. It's still decent with more players but I wanted to make something big enough to allow a lot of players without feeling to crowded so I made Crane, Kosov and High Towers. I think these maps will be playable with up to 32 players."
