"Downtown Oxida Nova is a busy hub for Axon colonists. The area is surrounded by tall buildings, including the central rail station, employment offices, and shopping centers that are designed to resemble those back home on Earth."

Walkthrough[]

Act II: With Caesar's Coin[]

"Now that we've taken Oxida Nova, Axon defenses are crumbling. There's only a few pockets of resistance left, but that includes the Iron Guard. These guys are Axon-elite, ex-military--very experienced. And very pissed. They've got a make-shift command point near the transport center. Our job is to take control of the area before they spark a city-wide riot."

"Now that Izanagi security forces have occupied downtown Oxida Nova, Axon defenses are crumbling. There has been some resistance, however, and a defiant group of Axon ex-military personnel known as the Iron Guard have established a makeshift command point near the city's Transport Center. Take a security team in and establish control of the area before the situation develops into a city-wide riot."

Choosing either 2.3a.2a.5a.1 or 2.3b.3b.4a.1 means that the Ronin intends to eradicate the Axon Research Corporation from the war and take the Leviathan for themselves. As usual, regardless of the branch you follow, your teammates greet you with a dialog:

Jester: "This is Axon's Elite: The Iron Guard."
Reaper: "I want your best today, Ronin."

And once Lauren is spotted:

Othello: "Is it just me, or is Lauren Smokin' Hot?!"
Reaper: "It's not just you..."

Hit & Run reigns supreme on this level, although the tunnels by the Rocket Launcher provide a nice campsite. The strategy from Arsenal and Carbon Fire seems to work the best: let your bots do what they want while you follow them around to distract the enemy. The rest of the time, stay out of the way and use guerilla tactics.[1]

Winning this match nets you the Iron Guard Reinforcements card, which grants 2 Iron Guard team members in the next mission. Then the player must make the choice of whether they ally with Axon or destroy them and get the Leviathan for themselves.

Act IV: Calculated Losses[]

"When the Necris infected Taryd, they didn't draw the line between military and civilian targets. All the corporations are scrambling to defend their home colonies. The Necris have Izanagi's Kimpu market district under siege and have imposed martial law. This is exactly why we signed up, Ronin."
