DM-Zeto is a Deathmatch map from Unreal Tournament.

Map description

The map is set in a frozen outpost, full of curves and long corridors. At the southern end of the map, a distinctive room marked by red lighting in the center serves as a central area with two floors. From the first floor, a hallway leads upward in a curve to the second floor, where adjacent hallways house a Minigun and a Ripper.

On the first floor, a long hallway extends northward, ending in a fork with two paths: one leading to a room with a Flak Cannon and an elevator, and the other to a hallway that leads to an Armor room, while also providing an alternate entry to the Flak Cannon room. The elevator takes players to a second floor, where they can find a Pulse Gun across a small bridge, and a Rocket Launcher, accessible by jumping over a pipe. This second level is also reachable from the armor room. On the southern side of this second floor, players can access the hallways adjacent to the red-lit room.

Tips and tricks

• A crammed arena fit for close and mid-range encounters, it provides a tough competition in terms of offense as well as defense.
• It is quite hard to play defensively in this arena, so it is recommended that you have a close range weapon ready for encounters with opponents.
• Memorize the path from the Shield Belt to the Flak Cannon nearby on the second floor to gain powerful offensive and defensive abilities within moments.
• The map includes tons of lifts and doors. Surprise opponents by waiting at the top of elevators or right behind doors. Greet them with the Flak Cannon for a nearly always instantaneous kill.

Trivia

• The mapper actually placed an Unreal Shield Belt, which UT replaces with its own. This indicates that the map was being worked on as early as the betas. The initial player count was 2-6.
