Iron Skull[]

"The New Earth Government has long recognized the superiority of the Skaarj warrior as a military fighting machine, as was made clear in the brutal Human-Skaarj wars. The Skaarj Hybrid is the result of secret military genetic research, using both human and Skaarj DNA performed after the capture of a Skaarj scout ship. Trivia[]

  • Although there are two Skaarj warriors as playable characters (Szalor and Torgr) in Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict, in Anubis's ladder, it's stated that the bots (and later DLC characters) Korig and Kraag are from the Iron Skull clan. Furthermore, these bots are the short forms of both Drekorig and Kraagesh.
  • As seen above, the team, as it appeared in Unreal Tournament was composed of Skaarj Hybrids. By the time of Unreal Tournament 2004, it was composed instead of regular Skaarj warriors. This raises out the question if these two factions bearing the same name are different or the same.
  • In Unreal Tournament 2004, albeit totally reformed, the team is the only returning team from the first Tournament game alongside Iron Guard and Thunder Crash.
  • In UT2004, Iron Skull Skaarj is the only alien team with Godlike ranking. The other teams of the same rank: Thunder Crash and The Corrupt, consist of humans and cybernetics respectively.
  • Dominator, the Skaarj warrior heavily featured throughout UT2004: on the box art of the standard package, in the nVidia logo during opening sequence, as well as the game exclusive opening cinematics, belong to Iron Skull Skaarj.
  • The description of the Red Claw is the same one used for the Iron Skull.
  • The Red Claw team makes a cameo appearance in Unreal Tournament 2004, as one of the Tournament teams the player won't face. They can be located sometimes by going to the Other Matches tab, under Details.
