K. Divad was a crew member on board the UMS Chantilly, a UMS ship that was sent on a rescue mission to find crashed UMS Vortex Rikers. However, the ship met the similar fate of the latter mentioned, crashing down into a mountain with only two members of its crew surviving - the other being M. Worch. Prisoner 849 finds Divad's bloodied and seemingly lifeless body sitting on a crate. Divad dies almost instantly when Prisoner 849 draws close to him.

- He is one of the few (if not the only) human characters that are still alive when player's character approaches them.
- His name is a reference to David Kelvin, who designed several single player levels for Return to Na Pali extension.
