The Medium Ghost Warrior is an enemy class found in Unreal II: The Awakening.

Overview[]

Much like the Light class, the Medium Ghost Warriors wear red and grey power armor with generator boxes on their backs, looking almost identical. They are relatively smart, know to keep moving as they fight and to use available cover. They run at the same speed as the player and can use a wide variety of weaponry, all of which are also available to the player.

Medium Ghost Warriors usually carry Shotguns and Magnum Pistols, and heavily favor the former. They can hit you with the butts of these weapons as well, but only do so as a last resort if you get extremely close to them. Occasionally, they will instead carry either a Hydra Grenade Launcher or a Shark Rocket Launcher, with no sidearm and no ability to hit you with the back of the weapon. When they use former, they will be equipped with only one type of Grenade and will always "hold down the trigger", giving the Grenades delayed fuses. When they use the latter, they will use both triggers, but will have no target locking ability, always firing Trigger 2 mini-missiles in "drunk" mode.

Tips and tricks[]

  • Don't bother counting enemy Ghost Warrior shots and trying to attack them while they reload. Although they do reload from time to time, their "running out of ammo" happens at random; it doesn't correspond to the number of shots they fire.[1]
  • Play on the ranges of enemy Ghost Warriors' weapons. Attacking Medium Ghost Warriors at long range, where their Shotguns can't reach or can hardly reach, gives you an advantage.[1]
  • Incendiary attacks work very well against Ghost Warriors since they can't use their skill and intelligence against you while they're running around on fire, screaming.[1]
  • Make sure that after you kill Ghost Warriors and the area is fairly secure you run over their bodies, "soaking up" leftover energy from their shield generators. After a while they will no longer be viable for getting energy from.[1]
  • Maintain your range from Ghost Warriors equipped with Missiles or Grenades if possible, since those weapons are very easy to dodge at longer ranges.[1]
  • Medium Ghost Warriors take about 20-25 Assault Rifle rounds or 2 Fragmentation Grenades.[1]
