The subject of this article appeared in Unreal Tournament 2004.

"Very noisy and polluting, the Minigun Turret is no longer in production but still widely used and maintained. The highpower turbine gives the turret a high RPM rate and great range. The turret’s weakest points are its very low accuracy and effectiveness at close range."
UT2004 manual

Minigun Turrets are turrets that appear in Unreal Tournament 2004.

Overview[]

Their high noise, low accuracy, and possibility to get killed while operating the turret may seem to make it undesirable, but any good player knows that minigun turrets are never to be underestimated. They can easily wear away at vehicles, and this is especially true in AS-Junkyard, as a good minigun turret operator can quickly kill the Hellbender and all of its occupants, with little damage done to itself.

Minigun turrets have a distinctive sound that can alert attackers beforehand, and can make attackers cautious and prefer hiding in cover. If possible, avoid excessive fire and attack in smaller, more concentrated bursts.
