The following is a series of characters from Unreal which had a few mentions, but not enough canonical information to guarantee having an own page.
A. Connectof[]
- Main article: The Sunspire
A. Connectof was a Security Officer on board ISV-Kran. He, alongside several other crewmembers, formed a small rescue party in order to find Kira Argmanov, N. Onalopov's lover and science officer aboard the ISV-Kran who was abducted by a Skaarj scouting party near the Sunspire. Connectof, Onalopov and at least one other crewmember split off from the main group and set out for the Nali sky town so that they may increase the chances of finding her. Halfway through their ascent, and running out of ammo very fast, they were most likely killed by either Skaarj or Gasbags. An Automag can be found lying near his body.
Anders Kerig[]
- Main article: ISV-Kran Deck 4
Anders Kerig was a crew member aboard the ISV-Kran, an Inuit Corporation spaceship that crash-landed on the planet of Na Pali roughly three months before the events of Unreal. After the ship had been invaded by a Skaarj war party, Kerig, Pelli Onsov and Yuri Andromov made their stand in the loading area armed with Stingers. None of them survived the attack. His body can be found near the dock area near one of the ventilation grilles. Before being killed, he managed to activate security locks to the warehouse area of the ship and implant human DNA code so that only another human can deactivate the locks.
Ash[]
- Main article: Vortex Rikers
Ash was the head security guard on board the Vortex Rikers. He was known to frequently take notes in a log-book. One of the prisoners he was guarding was Prisoner 849. He did not often show respect to the prisoners; he displayed this trait just before the Vortex Rikers crashed by giving an amused snort to Prisoner 849's request to be freed and escape via the emergency shuttles. After the crash, the prisoner finds Ash's body lying next to the elevator at the end of the lower imprisonment corridor.
B. v. Wely[]
- Main article: NyLeve's Falls
B. v. Wely was a guard on board the Vortex Rikers. After the ship crashed onto the planet Na Pali he managed to escape the ship with a couple other crew members. The crew attempted to send a distress signal after the crash to no avail. However, they did receive word from the ISV-Kran (which was another ship lost in the area about 3 months before) and figured they needed to gain control of the Skaarj Mothership to escape the planet. They set up a small camp at a nearby abandoned Nali house as the Vortex Rikers' hull was too unstable. The members of the camp were picked off each night by Lesser Brutes.
At some point, B. v. Wely attempted to gain assistance from the local Nali population instead of waiting to be killed like the rest of the camp. He had not returned to the camp after eight hours however, causing his brother, M. v. Wely, to become worried. M. v. Wely started searching for his brother, yet he ended up with a broken leg on a small platform on top of the river. B. v. Wely's brother died from the hazardous wildlife while attempting to rest a small time later. B. v. Wely had attempted to return to the camp, yet his progress was delayed by the patrolling Lesser Brutes around the storage complex and mining bunker. He attempted to fight the Lesser Brutes, yet ran out of ammo and was presumably killed by their missiles.
Benjamin Nathaniel[]
- Main article: Vortex Rikers
Benjamin Nathaniel was a prisoner on board the Vortex Rikers. He kept a diary with him to record the days since he had been imprisoned. Nathaniel was a troublesome prisoner for the guards, as he was often the start of the prison riots. The last day recorded in his diary was his birthday on day 93. This could be implying that the Vortex Rikers crashed on his birthday, but it is unknown due to Prisoner 849's loss of time since she lost consciousness.
Boris Clague[]
- Main article: Vortex Rikers
Boris Clague was a character in Unreal and one of the main protagonists of Unreal: Hard Crash. He was a prisoner on board the UMS Vortex Rikers. He had a diary recording his first few days in prison. By the third he had various injuries that included two cracked ribs, a fractured thigh, and fourteen stitches. He was worried about his chance of survival in the prison due to his history of injuries. The length of time he survived in the prison is unknown, but it is assumed that he died in the crash of the Vortex Rikers.
Chakti'Nrrj[]
- Main article: Mothership Lab
Chakti'Nrrj 2nd Great Talon of Ssa'Nrrj was a Skaarj responsible for the security inside the Skaarj Mothership. After the presence of Prisoner 849 within Skaarj Mothership was detected, Chakti'Nrrj ordered the cessation of all experiments being conducted in the laboratory section of the ship. This was necessary, so that the power reserves were at full capacity for optimal security operation. It is likely that he died after the mothership exploded.
Chizra[]
- Main article: Sacred Passage
- Main article: Chizra - Nali Water God
- Main article: The Ceremonial Chambers
Chizra (also referred to as God of the Good Lore) was the Nali Water God. The sprawling temple complex is dedicated to his worship.
De'Nasha Breeche[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Dorro[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Dorro was most likely a Krall stationed in the area of Bluff Eversmoking during the events of the Unreal. According to an entry in the Jailer's Hrang log, Dorro owed Hrang 25,000 gold Paaras. Dorro amassed this debt while playing death bones. He was supposed to pay off the debt when they return home.
Duk'Choroth[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Duk'Choroth of the 12th House of dUBREVI was either a Skaarj or a Krall high-ranking officer who apparently had a certain degree of authority over the Skaarj operations in the area of Bluff Eversmoking. Jailer Hrang of the Red Hand tribe stationed in Bluff Eversmoking monastery feared that the captain would punish him because the human prisoner - Kira Argmanov had escaped. He was the one who put magnetic seals in place in order to prevent access to the bell tower below the monastery.
Grok Vhul'rath[]
- Main article: Dasa Mountain Pass
Grok Vhul'rath was a high-ranking Krall stationed in Dasa Mountain Station who was responsible for overseeing the Skaarj logistics operations in the vicinity of Dasa Mountain Pass. Prior or during the crash of the prison ship Vortex Rikers, Grok Vhul'rath received over 45 crates of high-tech equipment from the crashed spaceship ISV-Kran, which were to be stored in the cellars before being shipped to the Warlord. At first Grok Vhul'rath used local Nali population as a slave labor. However, later on it was decided that they were to be executed for refusing to work. Grok Vhul'rath was not very fond of keeping Behemoths in the pass, referring to them as Aldarian pigs, because they constantly kept damaging the drawbridge that was used for shipping the cargo. This necessitated the repeated repairs to be done on the drawbridge. Bridge Foreman Khan Vhranna, his subordinate who was in charge of keeping the bridge in working order, disliked him for this reason. During their journey on the planet, Prisoner 849 may come across his logs.
Grorq[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Grorq of the Red Hand Tribe was a high-ranking Krall responsible for the shipping operations in the area of Bluff Eversmoking monastery during the events of Unreal. He complained about the way the Skaarj treat the troops under his command in the bluff, making them watch the Nali slaves and bossing them around. He was also preparing to repair the electric rails around the monastery so that the monastery outpost is prepared to receive salvaged supplies from a human spacecraft ISV-Kran.
Haith M'olner[]
- Main article: Serpent Canyon
Haith M'olner died prior or during the events of the first Unreal game. Prisoner 849 came across Haith M'olner's grave, marked with a simple gravestone with inscription in Nali, while traversing the Serpent Canyon. The grave can be found in a small decrepit cemetary behind the mill.
Hrang[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Hrang of the Red Hand Tribe was a Krall jailer working in the cellars below the Bluff Eversmoking monastery during the events of Unreal. Hrang logged in his log the capture of a Terran girl - Kira Argmanov. He along with other Kralls took liberties with Kira (implying they sexually abused her) and beat her regularly, to which she responded by kicking him in the crotches. After Kira escaped the cellars, he expressed his concern about being "de-hrangoed" (either demoted in rank or physically tortured) by his superior, captain Duk'Choroth. He liked playing death bones and his fellow colleague Dorro owed him a rather large sum of money.
Ivan Romanov[]
- Main article: ISV-Kran Decks 3 and 2
Ivan Romanov was the second officer and a dockmaster of the ISV-Kran, an Inuit Corporation spaceship that crash-landed on the planet of Na Pali roughly three months before the events of Unreal. After the Skaarj party invaded the crashed ship, he had the main Iris hatch sealed by a Laser welding team in the hopes of preventing the access to the primary shuttle bay. He also deactivated control access panel to the docks doors, leaving a message that the access panel can be reactivated with the override in one of the Access tubes. Prisoner 849 used this information to gain access to deeper sections of the ship.
J. Strang[]
- Main article: NyLeve's Falls
J. Strang was the cook on board the UMS Vortex Rikers. After the ship crashed onto the planet Na Pali, he managed to escape the ship with a couple other crew members. Strang managed to acquire an Automag at some point during his travels. The members of the camp were picked off each night by Lesser Brutes.
Jaara[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Jaara was a Nali and a friend of one of a trio Nali brothers incarcerated in the dungeons below the Bluff Eversmoking monastery. According to one of journals that Prisoner 849 may stumble upon in the dungeons below the monastery, Jaara was sacrificed by his captors in the reprisals for Kruun's escape.
James Cavanaugh[]
- Main article: Vortex Rikers
James Cavanaugh was a prisoner on board the Vortex Rikers. He was designated as Prisoner 853. Cavanaugh was sentenced to be executed, but his body was spared by the crash of the ship; albeit with him either dying or temporarily losing consciousness. When Prisoner 849 starts to explore the ship, they can activate the computer programmed to send the electricity into his body, thereby finishing the execution the guards had started.
Jonas Gershwin[]
- Main article: Vortex Rikers
Jonas Gershwin was a prisoner aboard the UMS Vortex Rikers for a little more than half a year. Like some of the other prisoners, he had a diary to record his thoughts. He often observed that there were roaches in his food and wondered how they got on the ship. He also hated the prisoner in cell 4A, as he believed she was looking at him in an odd manner.
Khan Vhranna[]
- Main article: Dasa Mountain Pass
Khan Vranna was most likely a Krall who served on the planet of Na Pali as a Bridge Foreman in Dasa Mountain Pass. Prisoner 849 may have read his log entry regarding the drawbridge repairs while traversing the location. As a Bridge Foreman, one of his responsibilities was to keep the drawbridge in Dasa Pass in working order. This task was complicated by the fact that the Behemoth guards kept constantly damaging the bridge, which necessitated that repeated repairs had to be ordered by his superior Grok Vhul'rath. Khan Vranna wasn't very fond of his superior due to this reason.
Kira Argmanov[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Kira Argmanov was a Science officer and crew member of the Inuit Corporation ISV-Kran ship that crash-landed on the planet of Na Pali, and was the lover of N. Onalopov, another crew member. Kira was captured near The Sunspire tower by a Skaarj hunting party and then brought to the prison under the monastery on Bluff Eversmoking. Kralls were put in charge to guard her, and it is heavily implied that they sexually abused her while she was imprisoned, and one time they were molesting her she kicked one of their crotches with her boots. An escaped Nali by the name of Kruun noticed her as she was being abused by the prison warden Hrang shortly after her arrival to the prison and helped her escape from her cell. Nicolas and several crew members of ISV-Kran tried to follow her abductors, however, they perished along the way with none of them made it farther than the gates of monastery.
She is later found by Prisoner 849, in the bell tower around Bluff Eversmoking. although she was found dead, there were no signs of injury. The Nali who helped her escape was said to be bringing food to her but was also found dead, it is possible that after the Nali died she died of starvation.
Kriin[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Kriin was a Nali and one of a trio of brothers incarcerated in the dungeons below the Bluff Eversmoking monastery. Kriin and his brothers were being held in a prison below the monastery for unknown reasons. His first brother, Kruun, managed to escape the prison and hid inside an old hideout from their childhood under the monastery well whereas he and the other brother stayed in their cells. Prisoner 849 freed Kriin when journeying through the monastery and the adjacent prison system by activating a lever that opened doors to every cell. Once free, he immediately went to a cell directly above his where the other brother was kept to see what had happened to him. However, he found his brother to be already dead.
Kruun[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Kruun was a Nali and one of a trio of brothers incarcerated in the dungeons below the Bluff Eversmoking monastery. Kruun and his two brothers (Kriin being one of them) were imprisoned in a dungeon beneath the monastery of Bluff Eversmoking due to unknown reasons. After spending some time in prison, Kruun managed to escape through a water tunnel beneath the staircase with the help from his brothers. Jaara, another Nali was sacrificed for his escape. After that, he had seemingly spent several months hiding in a secret compartment beneath the inner courtyard monastery well. He used the water tunnels to sneak into the monastery courtyard on several occasions and observed as the Krall and Skaarj forces continue to transport stolen tarydium and mechanical equipment through the monastery. In order not to forget the correct path, he marked the tunnel that leads to the monastery with a cross.
On one occasion, he again snuck out his hiding place and swam to the prison, where he observed Kira Argmanov, a crew member of ISV-Kran, a Human spaceship that crashed-landed on the planet, was being brought into a cell. When he learned that she was scheduled for execution, he decided to help her escape through a secret tunnel. Although Kira eventually managed to escape, she later died in the bell tower next to the bluff. By the time Prisoner 849 reached the bluff, Kruun was already dead, lying in one of tunnels closest to his hiding place.
L. Goeranov[]
- Main article: Noork's Elbow
L. Goeranov was a Human survivor stranded on the planet Na Pali and possibly a crew member on board ISV-Kran. Goeranov's body is found in an alcove, that is accessible only by water, found underneath the entrance to the Temple of Vandora from the Noork's Elbow. In her log, she mentioned that they were stranded there for several days. She took to eating the local fish, noticing the strange taste of their meat. It is likely that she died after being poisoned by the meat, which may be corroborated by the Devilfish carcass laying near her body. There are an ASMD, Flak Cannon, Flashlight and several flares next to her body in the alcove.
M. Mottobanov[]
- Main article: NyLeve's Falls
M. Mottobanov was a crew member on board ISV-Kran. Having survived the crash of the ISV-Kran, he alongside other crew members left the ship to scout the surrounding countryside. However, he and N. Onatop made it only so far as the ruins of Temple of Vandora, a few hundred meters from the hulk of the crashed ship. Having stumbled on another Titan blocking their way and unable to contact the ship via their radio, they decided to rest and proceed the next day. The two were most likely ambushed by gasbags in their sleep and died. Before leaving the ship, they set the cargo bay door detection system to scan for human activity, so that when the human presence is detected, the platform is lowered and the doors will open.
M. v. Wely[]
- Main article: NyLeve's Falls
M. v. Wely was a guard on board the Vortex Rikers. After the ship crashed onto the planet Na Pali, he managed to escape the ship with a couple other crew members.
At some point, his brother attempted to gain assistance from the local Nali population instead of waiting to be killed like the rest of the camp. B. v. Wely had not returned to the camp after eight hours however, causing M. v. Wely to become worried. He started searching for his brother, yet he ended up with a broken leg on a small platform on top of the river. Regretting his decision, he soon died from an unknown cause. It is assumed that his disabled leg made it impossible to continue and he was attacked by some of the wildlife of Na Pali.
Mac Harrison[]
- Main article: Chizra - Nali Water God
Mac Harrison was most likely a crew member aboard Vortex Rikers, where he held the rank of commander. He managed to make his way to the Temple of Chizra, where he met his demise most likely at the hands of a slith. After the ship crash-landed on the planet, it was set upon by a Skaarj invading force. Although the Kran crew members were initially successful at fending off the invaders and killing at least 20 of them, their ammunition soon began to dwindle. Having been forced to retreat to Science and Research Lab with the rest of the survivors, Leatham realized that there is no way to kill off the Skaarj, so he ordered a makeshift 85,000 volt electrical barrier to be set up around the lab. The barrier was still in place when Prisoner 849 reached the Deck 1 of the crashed ship.

Connectof, Tatiana Zimna and Sergai Dubrov among them) formed a small rescue party. The group split up in order to increase the chances of finding her. Connectof, Onalop and at least one other crewmember made it halfway through the Nali tower of Sunspire trying to reach the sky town before dying. With only one weapon left and running low on ammo, they were killed most likely either by Gasbags or Skaarj.
N. Onatop[]
- Main article: NyLeve's Falls
N. Onatop was a crew member on board ISV-Kran. She was one of the several crew members of the ISV-Kran that left the ship in order to scout the countryside. Having been accompanied by M. Mottobanov, she made it only so far as the ruins of Temple of Vandora. Stumbling on the another Titan and being unable to contact the ship via the radio, they both decided on resting for the rest of the day. Prisoner 849 later found their dead bodies in a outcropping on a side of the trench made by the ship as it crashed through the landscape. It is likely that they were ambushed in their sleep by Gasbags floating nearby.
N. Vos[]
- Main article: NyLeve's Falls

At some point during his travels, he came upon a Manta. He was able to kill it with his Automag, but not without suffering a great number of injuries. However, he recovered some of his health by eating a Nali Healing Fruit and attempted to continue his journey. Heel made it through a mining bunker, yet died once outside nearby another Nali Healing Fruit. He was likely attempting to heal his wounds when either another Manta or a Lesser Brute attacked him.
Pelli Onsov[]
- Main article: ISV-Kran Deck 4
Pelli Onsov was a crew member on board ISV-Kran. After the Skaarj intruders successfully breached the hull of ISV-Kran and entered the ship, he alongside[Anders Kerig and Yuri Andromov equipped themselves with Stingers and made their stand in the loading area. Onsov and the rest of the group were eventually killed by Skaarj. His dead body can be found on Deck 4 in the corridor connecting the cargo bay with the rest of the ship. In his personal log that can be found on his body by Prisoner 849, he outlined the proper steps that have to be undertaken in order to escape the ship.
R. Bijl[]
- Main article: NyLeve's Falls
R. Bijl was a guard on board the UMS Vortex Rikers. After the ship crashed onto the planet Na Pali, he managed to escape the ship with a couple other crew members. They set up a small camp at a nearby abandoned Nali house, as the Vortex Rikers' hull was too unstable. The members of the camp were picked off each night by Lesser Brutes.
S. Kroon[]
- Main article: Vortex Rikers
S. Kroon served as the captain aboard the prison vessel UMS Vortex Rikers. During the voyage to the prison moon, he ordered his crew to change course after the navigator detected unknown magnetic masses. This decision proved detrimental to his mission as the Vortex Rikers became trapped in the gravitational pull of Na Pali, an uncharted planet at the time. Despite the captain's efforts to fix the situation by diverting all power to the drives, the ship ultimately crashed onto the planet, resulting in significant casualties among the crew and prisoners, and leaving the ship in ruins.
To make matters worse, a Skaarj Warrior managed to infiltrate the UMS Vortex Rikers. While a few survivors escaped, they perished shortly afterward due to the planet's harsh environment. However, one prisoner, identified by the codename "Prisoner 849", successfully managed to flee the ship and escape the planet.
Sergai Dubrov[]
- Main article: Bluff Eversmoking
Sergei Dubrov was a Security Officer on board ISV-Kran. He alongside the other surviving members (Tatiana Zimna being one of them) of the crash formed a small rescue party in order to search for Kira Argmanov. They followed the Skaarj hunting party that abducted Kira to the monastery of Bluff Eversmoking, where they died in front of the entrance gate to the cliff, most likely being ambushed while resting.
Shrk'Tajji[]
- Main article: Mothership Lab
Shrk'Tajji 2nd Lesser Eye of Ess'Tajji was a Skaarj responsible for overseeing experiments in the laboratories of Skaarj Mothership that landed on the planet of Na Pali during the events of Unreal.
Shrk'Tajji conducted experiments on test subjects (mostly Skaarj and Mercenaries) with intention of developing a shielding effect in their cells by using Tarydium. After a few unsuccessful attemps, he finally managed to determine the cause of failures to be the closeness of Core Generator's magnetic field.
When Prisoner 849 infiltrated the mothership, all experiments were suspended on the orders of Chakti'Nrrj so that power reserves may be transfered to the security systems. During the this incident, Prisoner 849 had to fight several of his experiments (blue and green shielded Skaarj warriors and troopers) on his way to the The Source after the Generator went off-line.
His fate after Prisoner 849 destroyed the mothership is unknown, though it is likely that he was present in the mothership and died in the explosion.

Having survived the crash of the spaceship, she alongside with her fellow crew members formed a small rescue party with the intention of searching for Kira Argmanov, who was abducted by a Skaarj search party near Sunspire. Following their track, they made it as far as Bluff Eversmoking monastery, where they were most likely ambushed while resting near the entrance gates to the monastery.
While on board the spaceship, she conducted research on Bloblets. She made remarks on the increndibly complex genetic structure of these organisms, classifying them as highly acidic creatures.

Setting off from the crashed UMS Vortex Rikers, he and his squad made their way as far as the Temple of Chizra. Having lost his entire squad to sliths and without any ammunition, he managed to retreat to a shrine deep within the temple, where he was stuck for several days with a local Nali priest, watching over the entrance for any sign of the intruders. He either died from exhaustion or was killed by a nearby Skaarj.
Yuri Andromov[]
- Main article: ISV-Kran Deck 4
Yuri Andromov was a crew member on board ISV-Kran. After the Skaarj attack party broke through the hull of the crash-landed Human ship ISV-Kran, he alongside his fellow crewmembers Anders Kerig and Pelli Onsov equipped themselves with Stingers and made their stand in the loading area.
