The Overseer Empire is a faction from the Unreal series.
Overview[]
The Overseer are the non-fought evil empire that serves as the main antagonist party in Unreal Championship. Before the events of the game, the Empire made quick work of planet Earth, enslaving its population and exploiting its resources, as well as other human-owned worlds such as Alleria and its penal colony. While initially reticent to the Tournaments, they eventually warmed up to them, to the point of training some of the competitors as well as participating on them.
Involvement in the games[]
They are mentioned across Championship, and in some bios for maps such as DM-Compressed, DM-Gael and DM-Core and characters such as the Nightmare Black Legion.
Trivia[]
- Due to both Championship games officially being declared non-canon (or alternate universes), this race and everything about them are, indeed, out of continuity. Several of the Tournament games still mention them, though, due to the content shared between the second generation games of the franchise.
