Paul Meegan is the president of Epic Games.
Bio[]
Meegan got his start in the business by founding Sinister Games in 1997. Sinister, which is located down the street from Epic in Cary, North Carolina, was purchased by Ubisoft in 2000, which led Paul to Ubisoft Montreal, where he oversaw the inception of big games like Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and Myst III: Exile. He also worked on the Rayman, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six franchises at Ubisoft Shanghai.
He was also a former president of LucasArts, taking part in games such as The Dukes of Hazzard: Racing for Home and Nightcaster II: Equinox. Afterwards, Meegan had assisted Epic Games in setting up Epic Games China, (which now operates as Yingpei Games) in 2010, The subsidiary was able to establish an Unreal Engine licensing business in the region and develop the Atlas MMO backend technology framework for licensees. It also worked on original IP for the Chinese games market.
In 2012, he joined Epic Games and became its president in 2014. He currently serves as President a and Head of Product Development at Unreal Engine.
