Relics are a series of mutators introduced in the Epic Bonus Pack for Unreal Tournament.
Overview[]
Relics spawn at random locations, remaining there for about half a minute before respawning at a different location unless picked up. Once a relic is picked up, it will not respawn in the world unless it is either dropped due to death or voluntarily. A player can only carry one relic at any given time. To pick up a different relic, the currently held relic must be dropped. Each Relic has a dedicated mutator.
Relic of Defense[]

Resembling a helmet, the Relic of Defense is a unique armor relic that absorbs 60% of incoming damage without depleting its charge. While it prevents the use of a Shield Belt, it can be combined with Body Armor and Thigh Pads to maximize protection.
Relic of Redemption[]

Resembling a spiked collar with an eye in the middle, the Relic of Redemption grants its owner a second chance. If a player carrying this relic receives a fatal blow, they are instantly teleported to a random location on the map with full health. All items, including weapons and armor, are retained, except for the relic itself, which respawns elsewhere on the map.
Relic of Regeneration[]

Shaped like a cross, the Relic of Regeneration gradually increases the player's health up to 150 points unless it is already above that value. The relic adds 10 health points every two game seconds.
Relic of Speed[]

Taking the form of an hourglass, the Relic of Speed increases its owner's movement speed by 30%. It also sets a fixed air control of 65% and slightly increases jump height. However, it does not mix well with the AntiGrav Boots, as their 100% air control and heightened jump capabilities are overridden and remain inaccessible.
Relic of Strength[]

Resembling a double-edged battle axe, the Relic of Strength doubles all damage inflicted by its bearer. When picked up, any Damage Amplifier in the player's inventory is automatically removed and remains unavailable until the relic is dropped.
Relic of Vengeance[]

Taking the form of a skull with bloodshot eyes, this relic is triggered upon the bearer's demise. When the bearer is slain, a large skull materializes above their corpse, unleashing a devastating Redeemer-like shockwave after a short delay. Once the skull appears, the screen tremors to alert players, though evading the blast's epicenter is nearly futile.
