The Skull is a key game objective found in Unreal Tournament 3.
The Skull is the key objective for the Greed gamemode. Skulls spawn from fragged players, regardless of alignment, and teams must bring these skulls to the skull receptacle at the enemy base in order to score points. Depending on the amount of carried skulls, they give bonuses to the players, with a regular skull not giving bonuses, yellow skulls giving full armor, and red skulls giving a Damage Amp. The receptacles are located where the flags spawn in regular Capture the Flag and Vehicle Capture the Flag games.
- In the original mod version of Greed for UT2004 there were coins instead of skulls (hence the name "Greed"). The reason for the switch to skulls can be found in the Harvester gamemode for w:c:quake:Quake III: Team Arena, the source inspiration for both the mod and the gamemode, which used skulls which spawned at a central skull receptacle.
