The TCA Atlantis was a spaceship found in the Unreal universe.

Overview[]

The TCA Atlantis was a Terran Colonial Authority spaceship created by the Uxan Corporation. It was capable of landing, as well as equipped with a single person dropship, which was mostly used for planet-side missions.

During the time period of Unreal II: The Awakening, the Atlantis was crewed by Marshal John Dalton, alongside Aida, Isaak, and Ne'Ban. The crew followed orders directly from Sector Commander Hawkins on Avalon.

The ship appears in the intermission segments of the game. In it, Dalton can interact with his crewmates, learning the whereabouts of each of them and the planets they visit, until the Avalon mission.

In the mission on Avalon, the Skaarj troopers were raiding the TCA Headquarters on Avalon. Meanwhile, the ship was being attacked and ended up being destroyed by a space blast made by the TCA under orders of Hawkins, who made it look like a Skaarj attack. In the process, the blast also took the lives of Aida, Isaak and Ne'Ban. Dalton only learnt of this by way of an audio sent by Aida. He could only heard the first half of it aboard the Dorian Gray spaceship, but it was enough to give him the determination to put an end to Hawkins' plans.

Trivia[]

  • TCA Atlantis is one of two named ships to appear in Unreal II, the other being TCA Dorian Gray.
  • Sector Commander Hawkins informs John Dalton that TCA Atlantis has been recommissioned as a Marine corvette by order of General Drexler, and that the crew are all thus restored to their former Marine ranks, but it is later revealed that Drexler had "nothing to do with any of this." It is extremely likely the ship was never actually recommissioned into the NEG Marines, as Hawkins had lied about everything else during events of the game's campaign. He may have used this as a morale booster.
  • There are two hidden notes in the level. One of them says "Hi mom!" and the other "Complete list of Atlantis secrets at http://www.langsuyar.com/articles/atlantis.html".
