Some quick notes while I stretch my wiki editing abilities, lol!

  • I've fixed errors in many templates. Also all the map navboxes have the proper map listings instead of the DPL-based listings. They look better this way.
  • To my surprise, UT4 (via the highly-recommended UT4UU, I can't recommend this enough if you intend to play/check out UT4 in 2024) runs quite smooth in my PC! (Those optimizations surely were worth it) So I began to take a look at its stuff, and it turns out there's quite a lot to take a look about! So far the most important things are:
    • Most of the map pages (both of maps that made the cut and the cut maps) now have their proper Infobox image.
    • Yesternight, after some mining, I've added the character cards for the bots. Hopefully I've nailed everything, though some characters seem to have their own models. Too bad I still haven't figured out how to display them properly.
    • In the next days I'll try to get the map pages completed too; I've found out the folder OnHold, which contains all the maps that were once released for UT4 and didn't made the cut.
    • I'd also want to have a better picture of the UT4 Sniper Rifle. The current one takes too much space.
  • The Character card template backend is a mess. I have to re-do this; I have an idea in place but I need to implement it.
  • You may notice you now have to log in to edit pages. Unfortunately, that's a necessary evil. Some pages (namely those about Xan Kriegor and the Unreal II characters) were vandalized too often. If you take a look at their histories, you'll see vandalism reversion edits too often.
  • Now you can comment on the articles! Much like the rest of Fandom, if you scroll to the bottom of the page, you'll see the new Comments section.

EDIT Aug. 16: I have yet to fully check the OldU v469d patch for UT (being sidetracked by UT4 certainly doesn't help, lol!) but from what I saw, it really comes with interesting stuff. There's a new menu for graphic options depending on the chosen renderer, for starters. FWIW I've added the changelog to the Release Notes of UT.
