Well... after my bridge burning of a post a year and a quarter ago, yeah, as much as I wanted to stay away, I guess I love the Unreal series so much to eventually stay away. For now I'll restrict myself to just editing this Wiki. There's a lot of stuff to be done yet. A lot of info to organize. A lot of pictures to sort and place in the right places. Work... work never changes.
So for the time being, I'll continue staying here. Not as an admin, but as a regular editor. I do have a few new ideas I've picked up in the meantime.
P.S.: You may have noticed that I've left almost every Discord channel related to UT except the one for the UWiki. The thing is... because of how Discord operates, I can't quit the channel because I'm the founder of it. As such, the only options for me were nuking the channel or staying. And since I don't want to nuke the channel, I stayed.
P.S. 2: Thank you so much Epic Games for the shoutout at the 2023 Year In Review video! I've learned during my self-imposed exile that Epic gave the OldUnreal community a huge shout-out for their (our) work on the Community Patches for U1 and UT99, and I was name-dropped on it! Words cannot describe how happy it made me feel, especially in these shitty times! And, like I said in my old farewell post, I'll forever be grateful to Anth, Smirf and the rest of the staff at OldU for giving me the chance to collaborate with the patches; despite the rough edges, we should all be proud of our work. I've heard there was a new patch for UT99 and that U1 did had a new version out! Guess I'll have to check them out.
